Join us every first and third Wednesday 2pm-4pm at St Margaret’s, Bethersden.
In our busy world we seem to rush around a lot and our exchanges with the people we know is often short – do we really know what is going on in the lives of those around us? Not that we want to be nosy - but it is nice to hear of good things to celebrate, to walk alongside others in dark times, and to share what it is that is on our minds. That’s part of what being a community is about. No (wo)man is an island, they say!
We are blessed with a lovely big space with heating and a new kitchen and toilet in which the community can gather. This space in our church is open for free, and somewhere you can find a bit of peace and quiet, and some lovely old treasures of architecture and history to ponder over.
For two hours each first and third Wednesday of the month, there is a free cup of tea and a delicious slice (or two) of cake waiting for you - and a chance to take some time out to chat and get to know people a bit more. There is no religious agenda, and nothing to sign up for! Just hospitality and friendship - no strings attached. It’s warm and welcoming… but a bit empty without you.
Come and meet friends from Bethersden and High Halden.
